This is a very good point - for years now I have waited for boots et al to offer a digital printing service - I used to think it was the immediate future for all photo developing shops as digital technology took off. But no... still there is no real facility for doing this commercially. I guess we still have to rely on our inkjets.

You can take single pics in to any print shop for large copies, but I am still unaware of anywhere that will take 60+ pics on a floppy and give you a set of glossies back. Good luck!

Have a look at http://www.jungle.com/
Look in 'In the Jungle' for Jungle Digital Photos. There's some software to download plus other info. Used it a while back and thought it was pretty good. Looks like they've expanded their range.

Hope this helps

There's a machine in a local "Jessops" Shop, you just stick your memory card in it, bung some money in, and the pics come out

Why bother?
Get a decent quality inkjet printer
Get some decent glossy photo paper.
Print at the highest quality setting you can
Dry it for at least 30mins
Spray liberally with Tesco Value Hairspray
When/if it fades, repeat the above
Works for me and you have control of balance, cropping, etc etc

Not all Jessops will do prints in the shop, best to check if you are making a journey. One of the shops in Brum had a big *** machine for doing it when I called in last December.

Not true! There are plenty of sites that offer this service. Take a look at http://www.pixology.com/, who provide it on behalf of a number of well-known brands.

For printing service, try www.dabs.com and click 'digital printing', or www.jessops.co.uk under 'print@net'. There are plenty of others too.

Andy.

There's loads of them.

I had shedloads printed by the local Fuji Digital service and the quality is simply excellent. *MUCH* cheaper than trying to run an inkjet too. If you were in Leeds, I could tell you where to go...

I've used dabs and Jessops (both operated by pixology, I think). Very good quality prints, though obviously depends on the quality of the file you send. If you're doing a reasonable number of prints (10 or more), I think Jessops worked out cheapest usually.

And the first time I used Jessops about a month ago, they were doing 10 free 5x7s (though min. order was £5). dabs were doing four free or something.
