Default What would you buy? Daily family odd track days?

Not posted usual nonsense for a while on here.

but I’m getting a new daily/family/track capable car.
i know what I’m getting but what would you get incase I’ve missed something.
must be 4dr or 5dr and have a bit of luxury (not into hot hat backs as they are not classed as a family car to me with a bit of luxury ).

budget is £30-40k and must be auto.

what would you get?

Rs3 saloon has that hatch appeal slightly, not as much but still and not as luxury enough me thinks, have seen them (I do like the new s5 though but too business man loooking and Audi’s are too easy rarther than fun on track.

m5 I’ve thought about too, but the engine is big so daily running costs for fuel I don’t think I’ll like too much.

alfa are nice tbh, but unsure about them tbf.

rs4 again nice, but I’d want the 2.9 engine which are too new so over priced tbh, rs6 but again big engine for my price as they are fun, but again too expensive fuel costs.

think UPTO 3 litre engine is more better for a daily anything above I will cry lol.

so to me the f80 m3 is the runner up, more fun on track and nice daily too. And I have a guy who I know that is selling one, so hopefully will be buying that soon.
just checking I havnt missed anything Intresting that could be a contender

I might be buying this, it’s not up for sale, but my mate will sell it me, only 8k on clock and fully loaded with ghost alarm also, all it needs is a stage 1 map and done. Full CP and the carbon extras

performance over sound any day for me, could delete the secondary cats and go stage 2 but I’ll see. I’m too old to put up with Chavvy sounds.
c63 imo is a load of crap, sound good but the performance is so lame don’t go round corners, heavy and massive engine, most folk buy them for sound. Not a drivers car imo.

Seems like you have made your mind up on the M3 as it’s the one I would of suggested but I would of also said the Audi RS5 for its 4x4 and good spec car
