Default Interesting figures.

I keep using this site to see how many in the uk have covid19 how many have died and how many survived.

I then found a much more interesting page.

Births, deaths, emails, cigarettes smoked and many others currently climbing.

It's amazing how births are outstripping deaths.

Was gonna say pointless worrying about the virus as you either get it or you don’t

The figures keep showing how many have died with the virus BUT don't show how many deaths have occurred because of the virus - number of deaths due to treatment refused due to lack of hospital beds, cancellation of operations and treatments, suicides due to health problems which were put on hold, etc

Two of my cousins work in the NHS in separate regions. They have told me that routine (non life threatening) operations have been cancelled, but all emergency treatment is continuing as normal. Beds have only been freed up for Corona that would have been taken up by the routine patients. So far, in most areas the hospitals in the UK are not at full capacity, although very close, so its probably safe to assume little to no deaths have been caused due to lack of treatment in the UK for corona or other illnesses.
As for suicides due to delays in routine treatments, thats is probably impossible to know, but I suspect would also be quite low and unlikly to be much higher than the normal suicide rates due to treatment delays.
It is fair to say that many people with Corona virus will die due to their underlying health conditions rather than the virus itself, but if they wouldn't have died without the virus, then its fair to count them as a Corona related death.

I've been waiting for surgery for 6 months which was cancelled meaning i will no longer be able to work once this has all finished, i'm also waiting for a routine operation for my RA which was also cancelled last minute meaning my symptoms are getting worse each day - nothing to look forward to as no new dates have been given and the lat dates took several months
