Quite amusing from the seller. People usually do this when they’ve got other items for sale as it’s good for advertising.
Mind you, I’ve heard some BS around this toilet roll thing. Bloke at work told me about it the other days and said “it doesn’t even give u the *****” which I’ve also seen on social media. Got nothing to do with that, it’s about people buying it because they’re potentially going to be locked away for weeks.
Its funny as it’s not high on my priority list. Worse case, just wash off or if you’ve got a dog... “here boy” lol

And something made me laugh the other day, my Mrs insists on watching gogglebox and the dappy girl on there was talking about panic buying and she said something along the lines of
”I had to stock up on hand sanitizer as people have been buying it all up”. Fricking genius!

If people were more sensible, they would keep a good stock of tinned foods and toilet paper at all times to avoid the panic. The Swiss have got it right with fully stocked nuclear bunkers in every house!

Thanks to automatic shopping lists I inadvertently built up a huge stock pile...usually buy big 8+ packs, but probably go through at most 2 rolls a week.
Obviously so order an online shop once or twice every fortnight depending on how much perishable stuff that I run low on or if I’m having guests stopping. But the bog roll is automatically tagged onto the order and I keep forgetting to take it back off...amongst other stuff.
As a result I have carelessly accumulated loads of bog roll long before any of this started....as well as about 10kg of granola cereal, 6 blocks of butter and about 5 gallons of longlife milk!

Noted some people on advocating the use of kitchen roll as an alternative ...I declined to make them aware and find out the hard way....Kitchen roll does not break up in the sewer pipes like T.P. does (especially the good stuff which doesn’t break up at all!). It snags on a joint, bend, chamber or bit of conifer root and everything thereafter will build up behind it.
Been there...plumber (of all people ) ‘borrowed’ kitchen roll to clear up silicone and flushed it....I found out a month later the day after Boxing day when emptying the bath, water started overflowing out of the bog!
Outside I found two 6ft deep inspection chambers filled to the brim resulting in me going down to B&Q for a drain rodding kit (was cheaper than screwfix/toolstation and in stock IIRC) and then spent new year’s eve pulling fully intact sheets of kitchen roll out of the sewer pipes
