Anyone else just skip the story and go straight to the comments....

Here’s a good one:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51363612

Reminds me of NSR in the mid 2000s

Arguments always end up being about brexiteers and bias (I’m sure there is s godwin’s law on Brexit )

Today Gary Lineker is taking a lot of criticism, and not one mention of cutting the number of Eastenders episodes

Guardian etc. is always good for a laugh too..glad I don’t need to moderate it

Alot of news feeds are behind paywall. I do read the comments first before the article. I read across the board but its all the same really. Left or right

Sometimes it does seem that regardless of which news paper/broadcaster, that it’s the same people doing commenting. Or should I say same ‘type’ of people as they conform to their stereotypes. Saying the same thing moaning in the same way and getting embroiled in a points match with strawmen. Comical to watch when Mrs Wembley from Swindon starts foaming about all of the UK’s political ills, and its all because of what Trevor from Blackpool thinks of migrants

So true .

I remember a comment from a London dweller, complaining who was going to make their Mocha Latte coffee without low skilled immigrants, blaming northern thick folk

one of the reasons why I left the UK!
If I'm forced to leave the North, then it was never going to be to the South of England!

The South isn't one big homogenous mass. The style and pace of life in the SW is far different from the SE.

I've always seen the problem as concentric circles centered on London, so in that sense, the SW almost counts as the North

This reminds me of a news article in a local paper about the 'pigeon nuisance' in Kingston upon Thames town centre. The online comments section was hijacked and included brilliant advice like 'pigeons should be gasses just like badgers'
