did a quick search and didn’t find this on here already (sorry if I am incorrect).
I think this was always on the cards but either way this is a tremendous achievement. We are very much at the point where the combustion engine as we know it is on its last legs. I remember as a kid there being a stretch of road near my home which is very similar to that road surface and space that was well known for people (foolishly) attempting to reach 100mph on it. If they did they were considered a bit of a local legend. I always hoped I would get to see this from a road car, although this is not a standard road car as we all know. I find it heart warming that in today’s H&S and nanny state there are still people trying to push the boundaries in this way.
