Police aware
several cars near me as up on the verg with police aware on them.
i know after 7 days they are taken to the pound and crushed if not claimed but do the police not go back to the name on the log book and charge that person for dumping the car ?

They could be broken down or the aftermath of a RTA and waiting for their owners to make arrangements for collecting them.
Ultimately, if it is a dumped car, its down to the council to remove it - the 'police aware' sticker is to stop repeat calls from the public about the same car.

Depends if the car has an owner. If the car is abandoned, then the council will cover the cost.
If its someones car that has just broken down and still has an owner - then if its not illegal parked and has tax/insurance it can remain there. If its illegal parked, then the owner will pick up the bill.
