My best friend Jack

My best friend Jack
To some a dog is just a pet. I was one of these people.
Then we got a beagle puppy that was the cuties thing I had ever seen. 10yrs on and the hardest day of my life was driving him to the Vets and saying goodbye
He wasn't just a dog he was family.
Selfishly I didnt even think of our 2yr old son, but telling him Jack is sick and being looked after by his mum seems to help.
I crated this tribute for him. Hope you like it.

Anyone who says a dog is just a dog should never have one as dogs as they say are a man`s best friend and after you have one you soon realise that the saying is true so i wish you and your family all the best and it is obvious you loved the dog and who knows maybe you might get another.

Dogs are just awesome. Best friend. Always happy to see you. Proper characters.
I really feel for you and find it really difficult watching that video (esp. with that LP song!). We lost our 6 year old Deerhound lurcher a few years ago (he was knocked down chasing a deer).
We finally got another Deerhound lurcher pup a few weeks ago and, despite him not sleeping through the night, eating everything, chasing the cat, crapping everywhere and everything else, I wouldn't change a thing. Yes, it's a few months of hard work until he settles down, but he's a real character.
I hope you can remember Jack for everything he was - and maybe you'll get another Beagle pup one day...

Went through it last year and honest to god it was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. 3 days of pretty intense hurt before I was able to function again.
I know, it's "just" a dog, but for some people the bond they form with us is so strong it's crippling when they go. The age old saying of time is a healer is true, nearly a year on now and **** I miss her, but it's a sadness rather than a pain.
