I don't think it's a test as such, just a doctors appointment to see if they're still fit to drive.
Never heard of my mother having an actual retest, and she's 72.

Think most pensioners are desperate to not lose their license which is why coming to a roundabout youll be held up ,But that's ok
My grandmother of 80 + would terrify my mother driving so quick. But she didn't get a ticket or have an accident ever , never got retested or any other malarkey - and was very upset when suggested she shoudnt drive anymore

Your username (d.o.b.). But like I said, I'm only assuming. Maybe I'm totally wrong and your lucky number just happens to be 8968. Or maybe you paid £8968 for your first Subaru. Or maybe you'd slept with 8968 women at the time of your joining snet...
'to', 'an'

Most elderly people with the eyes of scared rabbits in the headlights never realise they have or cause accidents because they are oblivious to them and just drive off.

Lot of older people have basically an almost open license, let's them drive whatever they like, but when you hit 70 you lose this. My dad used to drive 7.5ton vans, but lost that when he 70 because he didn't take the required test.
No great loss to him, but something to note for those nearing 70. Not sure what else it impacts limitation wise.

Sadly, my dad gradually acquired Parkinson's. His car looked like it'd seen the streets of NI during the troubles - he would knock other cars during parking/un-parking in the likes of Tesco and B&Q, etc. Tragic, for everyone.
We had to take the keys off him in the end.
Very sad.

I've just about to renew mine with new address and new photo. £17 fm gently
I believe for the over 70s thing you just have a string of medical questions which you lie about and tick NO.
Didn't I read that there are registered blind people who have kept their licence?

You know what I mean, though. In that his memory/faculties gradually deteriorated over a (short) period.
