My foster daughter has decided she wants a xbox 360 for xmas. I havent a clue what games are suitable for a 12yr old and which ones are fun to play.
She has mentioned Minecraft.She also wants a driving game.
All advice gratefully received.

Seriously, Super Mario Kart was always revered as a great, fun driving game for all ages. Esp. for a 12yr girl (that's probably considered both sexist and ageist these days, ho hum).

Don't know if it developed into a 'franchise' and that there's a latest version of the series still available, though...


For a 'realistic' racer, with proper cars and the like, isn't the Need For Speed franchise the go-to choice (as far as the fun factor goes)...?

Blur is fantastic and 4 player split screen!!...a mix of real cars with weapons

I personally don't like them however when you get the lass her 360 you can download demos etc so she play before you buy.

For Xbox 360 the best driving game is the Forza series. Also a fun driving game is Project Gotham Racing which is ancient now so you will pick it up dirt cheap but it's still great fun.

The Lego series of games are also great fun for your Daughter's age.

I'll second Forza, get Forza Horizon if she just fancies driving around freely. Also, good call on the Lego games.

Where has she ordered it from? You can pick them up 2nd hand for next to nowt

Forza is good, I also enjoyed 'need for speed rivals'
