Anyone who grows their own tomatoes knows there it no better taste than one picked straight from the vine. Supermarket tomatoes just taste bland and flavourless.
Well I learnt last night that the reason is that tomatoes kept in cool conditions - below 54 degrees to be precise - have the taste element destroyed. Supermarkets keep them chilled and I used to keep in the fridge.
First time grower this year David,the taste is a different class to supermarket ones.

Great tips/advice David.
I was and still am amazed at how fast these grew,we got them when they less than an inch tall,a few months later and over 5ft.
