Default Transferring prints onto disc?

Planning to move house soon so having a bit of a clear out. Came across several boxes of piccies of kids and old family photos. Haven't got the heart to sling them out so what do I do? I have a scanner but not time to copy 500 prints onto a computer so is there a company that will do this for me and put them on long lasting disc/s, perhaps with a back-up drive? About half the pics have the negatives attached. Any one done this and can give me some pointers and a very rough cost say per 100 prints?

Thanks, David

If you still have the negatives, you can get a negative scanner. May be cheaper than paying a company to do it for you and certainly a lot faster than scanning each print!

And keep the negs too.
I'd put the whole lot onto my computer, then into the cloud too.
