Late last night R5 were talking to a chap who was about to embark on a Tommy Cooper tour and he gave a pretty good account of himself.

He gave this taste of a genuine Tommy Cooper joke which was new to me and made me smile, as most TC stories do.

A pal of Tommy's was a bird impressionist and went to his agent trying to get some gigs. But the agent flatly refused to help and told Tommy's friend not to bother him again with his stupid requests. Tommy said his pal was so fed up with the agent that he left without saying a word and just flew out of the window
