Default Om-Line Problems

I am told that BT are having major problems with their Internet services over much of UK. Some customers without a connection for several days.

I use PlusNet which is owned by BT and can access the web but mails held by PlusNet do not reach me. I can view these though by logging into PlusNet.

Anyone else having problems?

David

yes BT are having issues - really bad this morning, although it seems to be better this afternoon

"accessing mails on Plusnet?" - it all depends whether the mail is on the Plusnet servers, if they are then you should be able to use "webmail" to view them

I had Non delivery reports sending some mails this morning (to valid email addresses)

We were having issues at work this morning (on BT) but it all seems to be ok now.

Power failure at one of BT's internet peer service providers. Interestingly this happens 24 hours after DCAL criticise BT for lack of investment in their broadband business.

That's the (quite understandable) conspirato-cynical interpretation, but just as likely that it was a very routine temperature-related failure of some kind

Yeah, when I realised it was a BT issue I had visions of Gavin Patterson sitting in his office heads in hands mouthing "WTF, why know"

Default 3rd party Issue

Not BT! They are an affected customer of said 3rd party. As usual half a story and conspiracy theorists jump on the wagon

My mails still stuck with PlusNet. Pokemon overload on services?
