Chilled French Cop
Saw this disturbing video last night and am so totally amazed that under immense provocation, the policeman remained so calm, did the minimum to protect himself and just looked p'd off that his car had been petrol bombed
In America, the response would have been the disproportionate use of retaliatory force and at least 1 dead protester...

The truly astonishing thing here is that the idiots running riot on the streets aren't immediately thrown into the back of police (or army) wagons and banged-up without trial. Bear in mind that France is technically still in a state of emergency (it was never lifted after being imposed in the wake of the Paris attacks last November), and under those terms the authorities have full powers to lock anyone taking part in an unauthorized demonstration straight up with no questions asked.

Well, despite being a bit of a pacifist,my reaction would have been less gentle :-)

First, that copper is a boss. Somebody petrol bombed my car? No big deal - I'm still gonna get out at my own pace when I'm ready. Somebody's trying to strike me repeatedly with a pole? Keep trying, son - I'll just raise my arms to protect my head.
Next, I suspect the scumbags in this video don't actually work, couldn't care less about labour reforms, and are simply using the occasion as an excuse to be scumbags.

showed great restrain, big lump of a guy, he could have took that stick of that scum and whipped him a new *******. That incident and others akin should be classed as a act of terrorism and dealt with maximum force in my eyes. If that was female cops in that car outcome could have been very different.

Oh, but "luvvies" in support of the Remaintalists gets posted in just about every news category that exists. At least the HYS audience see though the blatant bias!
There are some nasty forces at work (who will live on if we don't leave the EU!).

A SCUBA diver died in lake Constance on Sunday, I didn't see that on BBC news either! ...or any other British news source!
Should the BBC, or any other news organisation cover every single minor news story from every country in the world?
The background to this video is from the Labour day protests on 1st may, which resulted in pretty major riots where were covered by the BBC http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36183277
Perhaps more scandalous than the BBC not covering a (in comparrison to the major riot in the link above) relatively minor scuffle in France, perhaps you should question the complete absence of reporting on the Leveson enquiry by the Sun. The only results you'll find searching for Leveson on the Sun website are general criticism of the need for an enquiry or the results of the enquiry, or stories spun to make the Sun look good like this one http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...-evidence.html
No news source is perfect and can cover all news stories from everywhere, thats why its important to read more than one source, including international press which may remove some of the local press bias!
