I didn't know who he was until after the photo. He was a nice, quiet bloke very interested in rally tech stuff.

Will be trying shorter more frequent rides for a while, worried about my knee. I'll do 30k today and see how it goes.

I think what they mean is he wants to improve the surface of all canal towpaths, so that a comprehensive cycle,walking network can be achieved. Now that would be fantastic

I live on the Grand Union, well not on it but it's outside my front door, hence my CX bike. Was just planning a ride to or back from London. Would be heaven if they paved the whole thing, not that it's that bad in summer.
