Very sad news. He was great in the '80's. RIP Paul.

RIP. It makes me feel old when people you watched on TV as a kid pass.

TPDMS - essential 80s viewing.

He was the ultimate showman (if a little smug lol).

He died in a 'great' way - surrounded by his family, eating a Magnum (the ice-cream, not the handgun lol) outside in the sun, whilst watching The Chase. His favorurite simple pleasures, apparently. Then he just slipped away.

I wanna leave this world in a similar vein.

RIP

I thought "the wonderful" Debbie McGee gave a really lovely eulogy to him on the radio yesterday

Whatever you think about him, they obviously adored each other and over a considerable length of time too - and that is to be celebrated and admired imo

Without doubt. A fine post.

Genuinely heartwrenching, that interview was.

He was the one who brought all kinds of magic to the masses - and very brave to do this on TV, as once you have done one trick - everyone has seen it so you have to work on the next one.

I always thought he was a fantastic, relaxed host for some of the game shows he did too.

RIP - will be greatly missed

Often wondered if Debbie McGee had a twin sister? Would answer some of the 'how did he do that' questions for some of his tricks.

If you have ever watched 'The Masked Magician' - its often used in magic acts

To be honest, I know at least three ladies that look like her. She has a very typical Western face and figure.

My condolences to her, and Paul Daniels will be sadly missed by many. He was a good magician/entertainer.

If that Anne Davies of BBC E. Mids. News sported a curlier head of late, then she wouldn't look dissimilar.

As you say, she possesses your classic British, well-to-do, 'kept woman'-type aesthetic lol

Yeah, that's what I mean. Very proportionate and good looking but nothing really cutting edge like the top Western stunners e.g. Lady Di, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Munroe (sp.) etc. Not really a head turner if you see her in plain jeans and baggy jumper without her slap on, in your local Asda, like.

It's like that Kevin Spacey. Some women just love him, but he has such a dodgy salesman look about him, hasn't he? Actually, the salesman who used to fix my computers looked a bit like him. He had the same cheese-on-toast look about him. He has gone after his divorce now, and his ex-wife runs the place. She looks like another typical known as Reese Witherspoon.
