Question

I have just purchased the above product and have no real idea on how to fit it properly myself.

Does anyone else have it fitted? Or have any ideas on where I can get it fitted professionally?

Can't help you with fitting but when you get it sorted, let me know what you think of it Ease of use, funtionality, build quality, effectiveness, etc.

I'm looking to get one to complement my Blue i.

Thumbs up

They are quite easy to fit. Installation guide for a similar product here http://www.blinder.dk/uk/install.htm

If you want reviews with field tests with police laser guns look here, an excellent site by Steve Warren.

www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk

As with radar detectors people think that these are illegal. As law works on Precedent a judgement is only made when someone goes to court.

Radar detectors are Not illegal after a court case said that they were nothing more than field strength meters, detecting the presence of a signal.

Use of laser jammers may be considered as perverting the course of justice, then again the judge may just say it's not illegal to transmit light! No one has been brought to court for using one so until this is done we cannot be certain.

I however have a Laser Echo 850 which uses the same laser diode as the Police guns do! (And a Bel 990)

Drive safely

Micky ;-)

If they work so well, than how the hell did the a lot of planes get shot down by lazer guided missiles then? Best thing to do is to stock up on some flares (Sunburst from airwolf) and chaffs. When your detector goes mad, just eject some flares and chaffs and make a hard right.

Red face

They reckon you could get done for interfering with a police officer who is trying to do his job, so you use it pretty much at your own risk.

Yet their is no evidence of anyone being prosecuted for using one, so I think it is worth the risk. This is the only device I have purchased so far (got done by a cop last year using a laser gun)..

I am still undecided about purchasing a Valentine One or Blue i, any thoughts?
