Is it just me or does the divide seem the worst directing decision ever? If I were the housemates Id rebel and cross the barriers as they cant chuck them all out as there would be no programme left. For 1 week it might have been amusing but for the rest of the series I personally think it will make it boring.

Stupidest decision ever, it's the most ridiculous idea I've heard in a long time, I saw the pictures when Channel 4 leaked them and thought it was stupid, and that it wouldn't go through, and if it would it'd only be for a week, but 9 weeks is just stupid

How long before Spencer gets bored and climbs over do we reckon?? I reckon he should go for it, Sandy's already told big brother what he thinks and threatened to leave, I reckon they all should do the same.

I'm off to e-mail my complaint to Channel 4

It is a bit weird. I personally think they will see how this week goes, and then maybe take it away after a week or two if it is a ratings killer.

After all, the show is pretty fluid and Im sure they have a contingency plan. If not, they will have a week or two to come up with one

Must admit Lee & Sandy came out with flying colours. Basically F*ck you jack - we're okay. Don't think it can last longer than a week or they will all follow Sandy out. If he goes??

the jail bars are only there for a week, not for the rest of the show!

Think about it, the losers of the basketball comp only have the clothes on there back and some essential bits to last them 1 week only.

If u watched it later on they were reading out the rules. The task each week now determines who goes in the rich and poor sides - so it changes every week but the divide is always there. If they dont eat all their food etc it gets taken back at the end of the week.

My only regret now is that Alison is out. Could you imagine her on the poor side of the house when the food is getting dished out. Fan - bloody - tastic. Mind you - who fancies using the toilet on the poor side with a diet of lentils, fresh fruit and veggies.

IIRC it has a 2 week free trial - I too cant imagine paying to watch it on the web. Especially if its like E4 which loses sound all the time, misses all the good bits and is delayed by 10 minutes.

Chelle - I look forward to it

Apparently they've already broken the rules by passing food to Spencer and PJ POWER TO THE HOUSEMATES!! I really hope they rebel and tell big brother where to shove his divide..

I think it is pathetic with the bars down the middle for 9 weeks too. The group won't be able to interact properly. What happens if the same people keep loosing their task week after week, they stay on the poor side for 9 weeks, very boring.

I too am emailing BB.

Why does it lose sound every 2 mins late at night on sky digital.

It comes up with a message "this is for legal reasons"; ?

Same on NTL Digital - its E4. The programme isnt actually live and is delayed by around 10 mins as you often see the housemates checking the time. Therefore BB can monitor and edit out what you see & hear - they are a bit restrictive towards what the housemates can discuss - sometimes it appears to be for legal reasons and others its for bad language. What annoys me is that they says its for bad language after 9pm whilst Survivor is on ITV with people f'ing and blinding all the time. Even after midnight they still do it.

not normaly for ban language after 9pm- its stuff like slagging of members of the public on the outside, slanderous comments, etc(bit like here! )

also copywrite stuff- they have to remember they are broadcasting the stuff to every TV in the land.

I did manage to watch it on E4 round at someone's house.

I managed to tolerate it for half an hour, but that was because nothing else was on and I was in recovery mode after a drinking session

Tis crap, the first was alright, I didn't bother with the second one and needless to say, I am not bothering with this one.

Its understandable as so many people watch the various soaps and BB is just the real version. I preferred last years series but prefer the people in the house this year. Just hope they get rid of those bars after this week and give them some decent tasks.

It's not true, I can live with out it, honest..... I just need to look in every couple of hours or so. I haven't got a habit....

I like the bars.

It really is causing friction in the group.

Lee is now hated for gloating so much. Alex and Spencer are starting to get on, Jade is getting quiet (thank the G0ds there).

It added another dimension and threw away any concept of we are in this together!

Apparently the outside loo was dirty befire the house mates used it! Guess who found, LMAO when that happened. It was dis-gust-ing!

The way to get beer accorss the divide was quite ingenious as well!

Exclamation

Why don't they all conspire to share stuff? E.g cook tons of food and pile it up on the plates. Then eat half and everyone passes it to the poor side.

BB can hardly throw them all out, and confiscation only removes the luxuries so they'll be no worse off than they would be without the bars in the first place.

After a week of rebellion BB would soon take the bars down.
