Can anyone tell me why this film is breaking records? It's on par with any other decent (at best) film you'd watch in the cinema. Completely not worth the hype, seriously....

I'm not a comic book / superhero fan normally (all the avengers stuff was naff). But the trailer for deadpool did put a different spin on the genre so I will go and watch it

£4.70 at my local Showcase Mon & Tues using insider deal (free to join) and gift card they run all year.

Because it's R rated and they were able to not only capture his character, but kill people.

Deadpool is an awesome character in the comics, video game and this film, he breaks the 4th wall all the time and make reference to other films and the fact that this is a film/comic/game.

Saw it on Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Not quite sure how it got away with a 15 rating though.

Opening credits are outstanding ...... the rest of the film isn't bad too ;-)

The enthusiasm for this film in the people who made it just jumped out of the screen. Most refreshing; more like this please!

Like I said, it was just averagely good... just like any other decent film you'd go to see in a cinema. IMO it's definitely not worth the "OMG" "WOW" "AMAZING" hype that everyone seems to be making out? Superhero based/comic film or not, I just don't get it? Who cares if it's from the comics or whatever? That shouldn't automatically give it "awesome status".

It doesn't, but the mere fact that you are in the minority would indicate that they have got it right. Again, it's not everyone's cup of tea, it's not automatically getting those responses, it's because the majority of people who see it think that.

I think E.T is one of the worst films I have ever seen, but I accept it is a minority view and that Spielberg obviously did something right, just not for me!

I liked it, fresh take on the marvel brand.
Liked it so much I've preordered it from Wauki (online service) for 10p. Along with another dozen or so new releases or preorders. Unfortunately the discount codes expired pretty quickly once folk caught on.

I was crying with laughter the whole way through the film
