Is complimenting a female on her appearance sexist and belittling?
A lawyer sends a Linkedin request to another lawyer. Her profile contains a picture. He accepts saying what a "stunning" picture it is. She then stirs up a sh1tstorm saying he's misogynistic.
Valid point or feminazi looking for a fight?

I think the poor woman has been treated appallingly. So sorry she has been treated in this humiliating way.
And all we really wanted to know is whether she had nice ****

Actually I think she has a point, it's a professional networking site and I doubt he would of objectified a good looking young man in the same way, (unless he's a ****** of course)
Personally, I like my b1tches to know their place, so none of this namby pamby beating about the bush (unless they're into that sort of stuff of course) I just tell them like it is ie, B1tch yo fine, drag yo cute little *** round to my office, I'm sure I got some work fow yo ***.
I find this approach avoids mis-understandings.

I think she is being a bit of a feminazi, and is probably not getting enough an4l action
As the wise people of scoobynet have said
The male lawyer "probably" should not of said it, given the number of potential feminazi'is out there
I love his get out though
"I was simply remarking on the artistic composition and quality of the photo"

This lawyer makes herself very presentable for her picture by setting her hair just so, applying just the right amount of make-up, and adopting a slightly cheeky sideways glance at the camera. All of this is for the benefit of the viewer. And when a viewer says, basically, you've done a nice job with your picture, she sets him up for public vilification.
Snotty bitch thinks a lot of herself methinks.

But it seems its OK for her to send messages about other males she has seen on images and call them 'hot'
Whether hers was for a professional site or not, her complaint is that his comments are sexist - so she has shot herself in the foot to a large degree. She can't have it both ways.
And she also makes a comment of him being older than her - What has age got to do with it, so is she being ageist?

LOL, you can't win with women, don't even TRY to understand them and never, never bother to argue with one.
They spend hours primping to make themselves look nice, then go off on one when anyone says owt. Yet if they were ignored they'd be affronted.
Illogical.
I mean, come ON, how can we take seriously people who change their hair colour, skin colour, smear stuff on their lips, faces and eyelids, including weird colours, have stuff injected into their lips to make 'em pout like a cod, have fakey bits inserted into *****, then whine when it goes wrong and want the nhs to pay for removal? Walk around in shoes with pointed ends, into which feet are FORCED by having huge heels stuck on them, then whine about having achey feet, paint their finger and toenails lurid colours,.....?
I could go on, but you get the picture?

Surely any rational woman would take a genuine compliment such this in the manner it was intended.

Yep never been a fan of made up to look like something they're not tarts either, I often wonder if they know they look like a circus clown.
It's the same as women who wear skimpy clothes and low cut tops with their bits hanging out for all to see, then complain when they get attention from the wrong type of men, or god forbid some bloke looks at their ****.
HELLO.....

Had that last night...Hen party at the table opposite; Less said, the better.
It wasn't a pretty sight; I think I've turned gay
The only thing missing among the screechy cackling round the cauldron was Grotbags.

The lawyer comes across as screwed up / plain stupid as this journalist. Probably friends.
Both attention seekers in my opinion.

This is the picture they were banging on about. If Aiden Turner had messaged her on "Linked up" the lady wouldn't be complaining. And what's all this about him being "twice her age"? so what? Ageist already. He may be older, but he isn't blind. Her picture has subtly sexual overtones that may well have excited him on some level. (Not me, I'd run a mile from a Lawyer). As the lady isn't the average "Jill", I'm talking intellectually, she has enough nous to know that the image provides a strong message, having no doubt chosen it carefully from 50 others - Tightly clipped no nonsense hairstyle, pursed pink lips and wide open eyes that invite discourse. Professionally done of course, and fake as hell, which is the point. She strove to look like that and paid for the privilege. And she complains when a man takes the bait? Please Ms. take yourself off to the library, choose a book marked "Human Biology" and read the bloody thing.
