Looks like a bong from the industrial revolution .....
Jesus! I was thinking exactly the same!
You stick the pot (as Maravarna, I mean) on cinders inside via one of the side entrances. Then you inhale via sticking up pipes. Good thing is that two can get high at the same time.

I also thought that it could a cow milking pot. Cows could stick their milk rendering body parts into the sticking up pipes and voluntarily p7ss their milk in the pot (as Scooblou's grand dad's pot). Then you could pour the milk out from either side (after removing either lids, of course) for human consumption.

My guess is it's an old twin exit exhaust backbox for an Audi TT.
Well, what's the logic for a grab handle stuck to it, then?
Did people drive Audi TT in olden days while grabbing their twin exit exhaust box? I mean, you have to have a very long arm to hold on to your car's exhaust by that handle, come on.

Maybe I should have added this smilie on the end of my post . Oh and it's not a handle, it's an exhaust mount!

Nah! It can't be an exhaust mount. In order to have better mounting, you have to have sturdy round clips going round the cylinder. Perhaps it' is an exhaust mount, but really badly designed, fair play. Then again, perhaps they made it like that so that the driver could hold to it by hand, in case the area where it was mounted went rust fallen. Like a clever contingency plan B, I mean.
I'm still quite curious about the length of the on the human arms in those days.
