Who should replace Milliband?
Probably one for the Labour supporters.
Missed Andy Burnham as he is the favourite.
Anyone know how to edit the poll to add him on?

From the current crop their is only one logical choice. Yvette Cooper.
That is if they want any chance of gaining ground.
The others are either too PC and /or geeky and incompetent.
The parallels (and differences) drawn with Thatcher would definitely be a plus for her leadership. It's her time.
Giving it to someone like Ummuna (spelling?) would be utter madness.

I liked Ed *****, except he was a crap driver. Shame he lost against the Millibands that time. Anyway, as he has lost in his constituency as well this time, I don't know who can take Ed M's place yet. I'll take some time to make up my mind.
Who's this Ummuna? I'm going to Google him now.

Googled.
He's a young 38 YO lawyer from a lawyer family; with much knowledge and experience in the fields of business, finance and employment. Quite vivacious and useful. Like all other politicians, he was also criticised for his hypocrisy over something:

Basically, he has all the competencies to contest for the place.

I think the party needs a woman's touch, it worked for the Tories back in the late seventies. Based on performances on QT, Caroline Flint or Rachel Reeves were quite formidable.

Educated & well spoken. He'll never appeal to the Labour masses!

We're not talking UKIP, we're talking Labour here.
From other angle, Ummuna is quite hot-headed as well, which will go against him tbh. Not thick-skinned enough for a politician.
Weakness spotted. He needs to work on his anger issues before he can dream to be a party leader. Imagine him being interviewed after his win as a party leader. If any journalist starts to do his head in, he'll just either tell them to p7ss off, or walk out. Then how will he get even as many seats for his party as this time, eh.

I'll laugh if Burnham gets in. Every word he utters on camera is deriding the opposition because as of yet he has never given anything of substance that would be a affordable and workable solution, if he does mention something its always ultra vague and wishy washy at best..
Plus the eye-liner.....I know MPs wear makeup for the camera, but he has it on all the time, I'm sorry that's just wrong. Emos use less eye liner, plus I have visions of him wearing suspenders under his suite < barf >
What Labour needs to do to make progress is to get rid of every Blair era politician. Get some new blood into politics.

His time has passed.
I doubt he would be interested from what he has said over the last few years.
He would have been the best choice the last time.
Yvette Cooper is the standout choice. She at least has some gravitas about her, and doesn't sound like a brainwashed robot reading some Labour propoganda autocue every time she opens her mouth.
Chucka Ummuna.
Andy Burnham.
Rachel Reeves.
Dan Jarvis.
Seriously?

I actually changed all of my voting stance once when a young Mr Blair came along
Very charismatic,good speaker etc etc
Bad choice in the end but there really aren't any stand out politicians from any party generally!
(and certainly not that angry 'I haven't had the chance to read it' young Mr Ummuna!)
