Default Diesel and petrol up another 1p.

Tuesday, apparently.

It's sneaking back up again, yet seems fairly stable at 85p a litre in France.

Still, at least we needn't worry that the oil companies might be profiteering..........

It's strange as a few places around here, petrol and diesel are now the same price. £1.19 a litre.

I've noticed recently how vpower has shot up where I live. It's now more expensive than diesel @£1.24 a litre. A month or so it was around £1.14 a litre.

This, neil-h^^^^

Do you seriously believe that they haven't profiteered?

And PLEASE don't give me the guff about, "That's what they are supposed to do etc."

It's not good for the country, the general population, if we allow them to fleece us. Our transport costs rise and so does the price of everything delivered by road, sea, or rail.....which is pretty much everything.

I kept an eye and fuel price went up within 48 hours of oil going up, the oil price then came down, fuel stayed the same price and now its going back up again within 48 hours of oil going above where it was.

Back to the usual saw effect of price change with oil

You've basically written my post for me and it's not guff, it's basic economics. You can bitch and moan about it all you want but as long as the fuel distributors set their prices (and consumers keep paying them), they will make profit.

My point exactly...profiteering...which we have been told by Lying Labour, doesn't go on.

The key word there being 'lying' anyone that believes that's true is probably too thick to operate a petrol pump anyways.

You are, you're moaning about it on the Internet. That's what the English do! What you should have done is vote for the party that made a cast iron pledge to help people with their fuel bills and who could be trusted to carry it through.... ah.... hang on

£1.21 for both here - typical that it levels just as we convert to a pair of petrols (from diesels)! REALLY hard to get super unleaded around here but I do when I can.
