Really?

We had a freezing day here yesterday with ample winds and rain. Ruined my walk. But no ice, which is encouraging.

Anyway, I haven't spotted any swallows, but I have spotted a lot of.....>

......dead cute lambs.

They come toward you when you're on your walks. They stand for a minute or two and stare at you, and then they gallop back to their mummies on their little legs. Absolutely lovely sightings!

PMSL!

Bah Bah Black Sheep..................

Mind you, we have some random farms here, just with the black sheep only. I asked around whether such farmers shear black sheep or what. I was told that nothing much, but people have them just because they're a novelty.

There's a hill down to a town in the valley where they graze. Their lambs are stunning, and all the black sheep have red collars around their neck. Looks amazing! I'll take a picture next time I pass them. The trouble is that I drive down on that bend, so I don't know where to stop.

Brother in-law's sister also has some, on her specially designated farm bit for them. I'll ask him to take me there to get a pic or two.

I also have seen some very attractive weeds coming through the grass patches in my countryside...>

...but no signs of the swallows yet.

Although we're at least 6-9 miles from where the sea begins (or ends for the ones from the other direction), I've noticed that some sea gulls have been coming here in flocks to our village centre, of recent. I don't know why. There's no masses of food waste for them there, none whatsoever. May be they're planning out the Election attack, as the polling will take place at our village centre. Not sure which party voters/campaigners they'll target, or will they launch a blanket attack, as none of the parties are good enough? Mind boggles.
