Ha. I was about to post exactly the same thread.

I guess it's just me and you, then.

Mrs Woods is sporting a tidy figure. Her head was so much better when she had that bob, though. (Nothing like discussing the important issues of the day ).

No

A vote other than Lab or Con is a wasted vote, and a vote for either is a vote for something most of us do not want.

I think you are discussing the most important issue. Nice to have a bit of eye candy to brighten it up!

I already know who I'll be voting for, this debate seems a bit of a hastily-assembled muddle between a load of sixth formers.

Sack it, switched over to Banished.... Which has a certain irony, when you think about it.

Sturgeon and Bennett make Ed look like a Tory.

Farage has no opinions on anything other than foreigners.

Question Time is more of the same all bitching at each other

They all want to turn on Farage but the fact is what Farage says is correct, how do the parties want to fund the NHS with the mass health tourism and no control over our borders. The more I see these tossers turn on UKIP the more it makes me want to vote UKIP.

I'd love it if there is another coalition and the Tories have to do a deal with UKIP. I want to see Farage get his chance to push the issue of Europe and get a referendum on it.

Is 'mass health tourism' a fact or a sound bite?

It's fact along with mass benefits tourism. All the spin is about saying UKIP and anti Europe supporters want to close the borders and ban immigration. That is utter boll0cks. What is needed and wanted by those of us against open borders is a system where immigration is controlled by merit such as Australia has. Those who are coming to work and contribute and bring in needed skills are welcome with open arms, those who are coming to claim benefits, get free health care and education for their families along with free social housing are turned away and told to do one.

There is a massive difference between stopping immigration and controlling it to allow in those who bring skills to the UK.

It's only a fact if it's true.

But I guess we're into the realms of what we mean by the word 'mass'.

Controlled migration also involves us stopping people leaving the country.

If we took a longer term view on this issue we'd probably think free movement of people was broadly a good idea.

Someone in the audience asked is the country full. I think it's safe to say it is way past being full and bulging at the seems. Every aspect you can look at proves that point - housing (especially social housing), education, health service, employment. There is no spare capacity.

So we need more immigrants to build houses, work in the NHS and education?

The debate just made it more clear to me that there's no one worthy of my vote.
The only circumstances I can see me voting is if I thought UKIP had a chance of winning where I live; then I'd have to vote tactically to try and stop that. The very last thing we need is their kind of reactionary BS being given a bigger platform.

you are part of the problem thinking more open immigration helps the UK. The population needs to decrease not increase. How about the freeloading immigrants from Eastern Europe get kicked out. That would be a good start. Refuse them social housing and benefits and they will soon leave.

The format was too muddled for Farage to really shine (which was exactly the point), but as he said in his summing up, they really are all the same
