It is for me.

The polls have been saying a Labour-SNP coalition for a while.

If Millipede thinks he can get it alone, let him try.

No chance, political suicide for Labour.
Both Conservative and Labour are likely planning for a minority Government. Although a possible continuation of the existing coalition may happen. Much as a coalition with Labour would appear to have been a more natural option for the Liberals, in view of the precedent set by the existing coalition the rent-boy jibes if they subsequently switch to Labour would be very damaging long term to what credibility they still have.
I think the current coalition has made a pretty decent job of it bearing in mind the cards they had to play.
And in future, as opposed to the three party system that existed, perhaps the wider contradictory influences exerted by the SNP and possibly UKIP after the election may have a positive effect if a minority Government is in power.

Not sure what choice he had really? Can't exactly go into coalition with a party whose sole objective is the breakup of the UK?

You can go into coalition with anyone...so long as you get some ministers and can "fill yer pockets!"

Look at Smegg.
Went back on his two main election promises the second he was in power.

Imagine if he had said 'yes' to the probability of his party joining forces with SNP, if it came to it. Then he would have been called power hungry, principles lacking, piece of whatever opportunist. When he says 'No' to a coalition that doesn't sit well with his party's ideology, he's being called self-destructive stupid man who doesn't know how to chase power.

Article also says: The BBC's assistant political editor Norman Smith noted that Mr Miliband had not ruled out a more informal arrangement whereby the SNP could offer a Labour minority government support on a vote-by-vote basis, known as "confidence and supply".

Time will tell, and there could be some hope for the hopeless, or the SN political analysts here would say that this is just rubbish, and clueless Miliband is virtually finished.
