'The injunction prohibits two or more vehicles gathering in the combined local authority area "known generally as the Black Country" between 15:00 and 07:00 GMT.'
Post Office are buggered then.
And the Water board, Transco, etc.

not surprising really, 99% of people attending arent brainless but as usual the 1% ruins it for the rest.

LOL can't see it being enforced any differently to as it is currently, just being used as a excuse to diperse crowds if some try it on and cause trouble.
Its nothing new to the area - its been going on for as long as I've been driving: Merry Hell as an example (Merry Hill to those who don't know it) and its surrounding locality was always a gathering place, this is going back to when I was 17 giving it large round Mc'Ds by the cement factory in my XR3 (I'm not joking - I was young once ). Plod would turn up give some producers and ID checks on those acting like **** and everyone else would quietly move along to another car park nearby.
They closed off lots of areas with barriers down overnight to stop gatherings and racing on the nearby industrial estates. The speed cameras after the traffic light turned the one main drag strip into a interesting test of both acceleration and brakes. Sort of a 1/16th mile drag race

While I can understand it if these events get out of hand, passing a law that says as little as 2 cars and their drivers may not meet up is going a bit OTT!

That's what I thought, the wording of it is so vague that really if someone ended up in court over this a good lawer probably could tear this injuction into shreds. I mean how often have people have legitimately arranged to meet up with their mates in another car before heading off somewhere?
In reality, the cruises and garthering will likely move elsewhere. For example; Nice roads round Redditch and Telford...a few extra miles over the boarder won't bother anyone who is into their cars - means they get to drive them more!

So if the spectators bring their cars with them all's dandy

Went Hanley years ago before they put up speed bumps and it was like a race track. All cars under the sun, which could be classed as fun to watch, but to be fair was stupid in a public area.
The amount of youtube videos showing car cruises where cars are burnt out and crashes, its just gets silly. Although more than 2 cars is silly aswell. 10 fine but 2.
