Thumbs up Bye Bye Brown!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-30277709

His legacy?

Putting million of students into unmanagble debts by introducing fees (of which many ended up being written off at the taxpayer expense)

Scrapping funding for road/transport infrastructure (new bypasses, motorways etc), that was put in place by the previous government.

Selling our gold at rock bottom prices - even annoucing it beforehand causing an further drop in price.

Perpetuating a banking system so unregulated that it spiralled out of control and collapsed

Plundering our pensions

Making tax-effective savings for the general public a royal PITA (ISAs)

Punishing savers further by keeping interest rates low

PFI and lend-lease plans on our hospitals and school that mean money for NHS and education is now wasted paying for it - touted as costing the tax payer £300billion!

Using the low interest rates to encourage people to take on mortages they can ill-afford.

Allow the UK enonomy to effectively encourage most of the UKs production industry to migrate overseas.

Allowing the encomy to eccourage asset strippers to buy out and destroy whats left in the UK.

Calling a Labour supporter a "Biggoted Woman"

I'm sure I've missed much much more...Good riddance!

Every person in teh UK is worse off becuase of his actions when in power...the only exception is those who live off the state, who up until recently are the only ones unaffected.

Add that he was supposed to be a horrible b*stard in private & he has been such a miserable tw*t for so long his face is now incapable of showing any emotion.

How did we ever get into the situation where we elect such low quality individuals to represent us & then they rise through the ranks to top jobs.
Makes you wonder how sh** the others are.

And is now being touted as a UN education ambassador, in the same way Blair is a peace ambassador... You couldn't make this **** up!

Made me think of the ministry of peace, the ministry of love, the ministry of truth and the ministry of plenty for some strange reason.

Was this in the middle of a bust after a boom or a boom after a bust after boom? To be honest, I lose track

To show I can be balanced, Brown did actually do one good thing in amongst the rest of the disaster area, the kept Britain out of the Euro. This can now be seen with hindsight to be a major benefit to us, we would be in a much worse place if in the Euro.

I was thinking about the Euro.

At the time I don't think any other party leader or shadow chancellor was pushing for the UK to go into the Euro either, so really we wouldn't have been in the Euro if Brown had existed or not. At the very least this is one of the few times we didn't bow down to pressure from Brussels..

To be fair he was no better or worse than any other chancellor we have had in the last 30 years. I know it's SN Tory folklore that he created the global financial crisis, but he really didn't and you can laugh about boom and bust, but the Tories' record is no better. Basically politicians are in the main greedy lying backstabbers and the sooner people realise there is very little difference between them the better!

As a prime minister though he was a complete disaster and possibly the worst we have ever had.... well until the one that succeeded him!

As you say it was a global financial crisis but there was certainly a lot of people that were way way over spending. I think one of the reasons people are saying that they aren't feeling any recovery is because the greedy *******s with there finance are still thinking it should be like it was and IMO labour were at the centre.

Tories make money, Labour spend money, Tories make money, Labour spend money.
