6 months to the GE - how many seats will UKIP win?
OK so its 6 months today until the General Election. Lets quickly take stock of where we are. Labour is having a leadership crisis, and Ed might not survive (developing!), Cameron is desperately trying to minimise the damage the £1.7bn EU demand is making, Merkel has told him no way on free movement negotiations, and no-one has seen nor heard of Clegg in months and frankly no-one cares.
So the fox in the henhouse is UKIP. We won Clacton with 60% of the vote, narrowly missed Heywood (84th safest Labour seat) by 600 votes, and have the 271st most likely UKIP seat in Rochester with a 15% percentage point lead on the 20th Nov. Survation have just released a new poll showing UKIP on 24% just 3% points behind the Tories http://www1.politicalbetting.com/ind...essure-off-ed/
So things are moving. But how far can they go? Lets see what you all think. How many seats will UKIP have after the dust settles after the next GE?

I suspect not as well as the current hype suggest, I say that not because I disagree with pretty much all they stand for (I do) but that is just how UK general election politics behave
I tend to agree with Boris Johnson on this, when he said
“If we left the EU, we would end this sterile debate, and we would have to recognise that most of our problems are not caused by “Bwussels”, but by chronic British short-termism, inadequate management, sloth, low skills, a culture of easy gratification and underinvestment in both human and physical capital and infrastructure,”.
And that may dawn on a few people during the campaign

ukip vote is spread to evenly to win many sites they need PR to get a chance to win seats
Imagine what the election would be like if we had voted for PR like the Lib Dems wanted us to in the referendum a few years back!
anyway there is no way we will get a vote on leaving the EU the Scots scared them to much they will only let us vote if they know we will give them the outcome they want to stay in

I was all for voting ukip months ago,but recent weeks i not so sure.
I have a little changed my mind coming out of the EU,mainly because i have worked abroad,i still travel at times in europe, have a place in prague, and having lived and worked in czech they have always been very welcoming, most places have been the same. The only little hostilility i have came across is the lack of other languages British people don't know or learn.
But we always bang on about how foreigners don't learn or speak the native language when they come to the uk.
First time i went to czech i sat one night in a pub with five czech blokes and that's how i got started.
Funny thing is was a small village pub near slovakia, and they could talk english.
As for how many seats fecked if i know

What we don't need is mass unskilled EU migration, driving down wages and putting pressure on public services.
I wouldn't like my son to be 'educated' in a school where most of the kids don't speak English.

Stupid May be a bit harsh tbh. Many people are not that interested in politics, can you blame them with all the double talking, lying, back stabbing MPs we have.
I don't particular agree with everything UKIP say or stand for but they have got more people interested and maybe less naive about politics so is only a good thing

For those of you of a betting nature, Ladbrokes have over 49.5 seats at 12/1, over 19.5 at 11/4.... http://sportsbeta.ladbrokes.com/Brit...141m1Z1z141ng/
(Enter promo code F100 for up to 100 quid first bet back - no affiliation, just they have the best market on political betting)
You could probably safely count on those shortening too....
