Default Bad Day at 'Work'

http://www.nuneaton-news.co.uk/Nunea...ail/story.html

I know working in retail can be frustrating at times, and yes, it can be boring too, but by Christ, this is an overreaction even by my standards.

Most intelligent people would have faked an illness to get home early, not burned the workplace to the ground endangering everybody inside

I think she's burned her bridges as far as a career in retail goes

Precisely. Plus this was only work experience, it's not like she was going to be stuck there forever.

Definitely something not right with her.....

as a result Wilkinsons was now reviewing its national policy in relation to taking on any more work experience youngsters
Because all young people are arsonists...?!

Not sure which is the greater overreaction: starting a fire to get out of work early, or scrapping the entire programme of work placements because of one particular individual.

I think she'll be paying that debt off for quite a while (or her parents will!)

Definitely not right in the head, what ever happened to just saying you don't feel well, which is actually quite easy for young ladies to say, using the time of the month excuse and just going home, she'd have been able to miss the whole week if she so desired.

I guess she learned a couple of things from work experience, the first being she doesn't like working and the second being dry cardboard burns quickly.

I see a future of babies and benefit scrounging.

Mohammed, defending at that hearing, explained: “To a degree she got a bit bored, and she would have liked to have done something more exciting than stocking shelves.

I like messing with fire. Had a few lectures off plod back in the day in my early teens.

But I have resisted the urge to torch my workplace.....although I'd probably be doing them a favour (building needs gutting anyway).

The only thing pyrotechnic I do for a laugh these days is decoking spark plugs....with brake cleaner (pure light naphtha) and a blow torch

We've all done silly things at work

I stuck my tongue to the shelving unit of the industrial freezer storage room at the Sainsburys in Londons Cromwell road

Put a whole new meaning to the term fire sale.
