M1 Jct 12 to 13 Just curious~Speed cameras ?
For the first time in years I had to use a 4 mile stretch of the M1 today, jct 12 to 13, a refurbished bit south of Milton Keynes. Lots of gantries across the carriageways. The gizmo on the dash kept beeping "Speed camera, limit 70mph" and most drivers were at about that speed. Are there really speed cameras every few hundred meters or so or is it something else ?
Cheers
Brian.

You can spot the frame on the back of the gantry witht he cameras on, so just do normal speed until you see the camera and then slow to 70

Hadecs 2 ?
Yep, look in your mirror, you'll clock the gantries with them fitted.
M42/M6 is littered with them, same with M25, although I'm not sure if they are all been converted to Hadecs yet (probably).
The sneeky ones to watch out for are the HADECS 3 systems.

The 'stealth' aspect of the mainstream media stories entirely relates to the new cameras' colour - the HADECS 3 will be grey not bright yellow, leading the Alliance of British Drivers and others to suggest they will be more difficult to spot.

Yes, they do work between 12 & 13 especially when showing the lower speed restrictions, I have the points to prove it.
