Virgin Air Miles
Has anyone got a stack of these they don't use, or find it hard to use?
I think I need about 10k for an upper class upgrade.
Thanks

10k is hard to use. I doubt this would get much discount or get you an upgrade...therefore hard to spend especially if you don't travel much.
100k a little easier. This will get you an Upgrade from Economy to Upper.
If you have for example 90k points, another 10k would make me very popular with some one.

Sure, I get that 10k won't get you anything but you're saying people are sat on 100000s but can't use them. If somebody is sat on 100000s (like me) then they can use them just like you would.
Or do you mean if somebody happens to own just 10000 or so then they're virtually useless and should 'give' them to you?
Btw, if you don't mind me asking where are you flying?

Yes we could come to an agreement maybe.
Shanghai, Osaka, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai. I'm trying to fly my wife to meet me in Hong Kong....of course I don't want her to slum it! My miles may be enough, but I don't think so.

I've got 110k at the moment, should be closer to 150k by the end of the year.
100k will get you 4x upgrades from economy to upper to Barbados flights, there's a list somewhere on their site but that's the only one I can remember.
(I mean 4 legs, so 4x flight = 1 return trip for a couple, for example).
The option to use them to buy flights is very limited - as they pick and choose what flights you can use them on. I'll always prefer to use them on upgrades.
My GF has also got about 20k, we looked at transferring them but it's really not worth the cost.

I've got about 250,000 but I'm not giving 10,000 away to anybody
