Last Night Of The Proms
Anyone gonna join in on the national pride?
A small slice of harmless, uplifting, joyous escapism from all the **** and general doom and gloom going on in the world right now.
I know I will be.
P.S. Scotch (I know that 'word' really annoys you lol) separatists need not apply.

Even the most staunchest of Republicans would have to possess a heart of stone for not to register even a flicker of emotion at Mr Britten's arrangement of GSTQ.
It's insane (in a good way).

+1
good job we don't sing the original lyrics....
"....Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring
May he sedition hush
And like a torrent rush
Rebellious SCOTS to crush
God save the Queen..."
Highlight for me was "Song for Athene" (played at the Funeral of Princess Diana)

One is enough to put you to sleep with boredom and the other you would not get tired of slapping on the face.
