Rimless glasses
Does anybody wear these?
I fancy a pair , but was wondering how much more fragile they are ( compared with full rim)
- maybe even too light, to run with etc
This is full glasses, rather than reading ones

Very fragile. You see, they have no frame to contain them.
Personally I find rimless glasses sh7t. They have no impact on my face. At least I can pose in my reading glasses with funky frames.

Yeah it must be bit like hanging the suspension off the engine
- but your guaranteed never to lose a lens!
I like the idea of being able to see up /down unimpeded

Tried those frames you pointed out Swati, unfortunately I didn't take into account they bit too narrow, or narrower
And also some strange variation of magnification across the lens, to my eyes anyway
I don't think I was imagining it. ( I do know my prescription has changed a bit since last time)

All I'm saying is that tell your specs makers to ensure they are realistically rimless. No invisible rubber rim sh7t. That's all.

I have had a few minimal designer frames over the years and they have all been fragile, Oakley, Carrera etc etc. Due to my complex vari-focal lenses I pay at least £300 just for them.
I have now gone back to good old black frames. No problems, cheap and in fashion at the minute.

Had a pair of rimless glasses for about 6 years ,maybe more.
From specsavers I think.
light and durable ,with no problems, except I did not get them scratch resistant which I should have done really.

Used to wear them all the time.Nice & light & no frame to obscure your vision.
But they are very fragile.Manufacturers can't seem to find a good way to fix the arms to the lens.
I wear half rims now.Very strong & no breakages so far.

I wear rimless silhouette glasses. Fantastic, so light to wear as if they are not there. You can run in them no problem due to being so light weight. I have mine photo sensitive to change with the light. If you don't wear them all the time, then yes you could damage them more easily. I do and after 5 years they are still great. They are expensive

I don't miss the dehydrating feeling , the hassle putting them in/out , the cleaning and finally the cost.
They're tricky to swim in also ,I believe
I've gone for cheapo pair specs , temporarily
