Pool heater?

Bought a pool for the kids, 10 foot thing from Argos, only £44, comes with a "filter" and a cover.
Pretty nice pool for the price to be fair. I'm looking for a heater, something I can attach to the filter pipes to stop my kids turning blue![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Any suggestions?

How big is the pool?
Anything less than 3kw and make sure it has an RCD fitted that works. And fed from a Switch fuse spur
It will need to be less than 2800watts if you want to run it on a plug top.

There are some proper clever b*****ds out there.
This is the solution & it is fantastic & cheap.....very!
If,like me you don't know what 'Corriboard' is.It's this stuff:
http://www.accessplastics.com/corriboard/
Brilliant.
I would put that insulation board under the pool also.Check the temp he gets at the end in the summer.

buy a 100mtr roll of black hose pipe and coil up on a pallet painted matt black, use filter pump if you want but they are a bit fast, i use a hozelock submersible, pump the water around the black hose, our 15ft pool was 29.5degrees the other night at 9pm, at 11am the water temp was only 22 and the garden in the shade was 25. so the pallet heater makes at least 5-6 degrees difference. if you want to be real tight get a solar pump

Few old car radiators, hose and a gas BBQ ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
But seriously, a heat pump sized for similar capacity koi carp pond would be the most efficient - with a COP of 4, 2Kw at the wall socket should give you about 8kw out into the water. Many heatpumps claim COPs of up to 5, so output could be higher.
Oh yes a thermal cover is a must. Its worth 6 degrees average difference on our unheated 60m3 pool in Spain without it (also reduses chlorine comsumption).

i have one of those lay z spa jacuzzi's
and as above make sure you treat the water and always keep the pump/filter running, as leaving it off for over a day that water loves to change colour

Our one here is the same make, Intex, been up for three years now, still going strong, it's the 18' x 12' version, but still 4' deep.
Takes about three days for the filter to clean it of the winter debris that gets in despite the covers.
Oh....and it was 72 deg on Tuesday, and 82 yesterday.
