Indeed - thats what I was thinking too.

I bought similar sized tyres for my car recently - 255/35/18.
A medium sized brand(Vredestein) cost me £150 per tyre fitted

Some good prices on mytyres.co.uk.

Could've got P-zero rears on mine for £267 each (255-30-19 runflat), which is a bargain when everywhere else was over £400.

Cashback too!

Been looking at who makes what in 19's. MR TYRE in Nottm said the Hankooks are a good all rounder in 19's. get good RATEINGS (A-G on the label)

Conti's get a wet grip A rating.

Tyre Pressure Managment System...In other words that yellow/orange flat tyre symbol on your dash

Although on most beamers whilst they have flat tyre detection it technically isn't TPMS as there is no pressure sensors (thats a optional extra), most BMWs just uses the ABS to detect each wheel speed...a flat tyre spins faster than a inflated one.

It should also be reset everytime you adjust the tyre pressure or replace a tyre (press and hold the button, or do it via iDrive "init" ). Nobody ever does though which makes the system useless...I've got some cracking pics on the phone of a runflat tyre driven to destruction as the driver was blissfully unaware she had a flat tyre !

Same goes for most VAGs with the same system - they need to be reset in the same way.
