RIP Jack Brabham
Motorsport and F1 legend Jack Brabham has died after a long battle with liver disease.
He won the F1 world championship three times and remains the only man to have designed, built and driven a car to championship victory, a feat obviously never to be repeated.
Having cut his teeth in racing in his native Australia and New Zealand he went on to drive against many greats of F1 including Stirling Moss and Jim Clark and although he is widely considered to not quite have the amazing talent of those and one or two others he made up for it in true grit and determination.
A true motorsport legend.

Some years back I was invited to take my part replica Jaguar SS100 to Brooklands for a classic car show. I was absolutely delighted when Sir Jack and friends complimented me on the car and the local press published this picture which I treasure.
