Best bands from your youth ?
There were a good 3/4 particular allegiances to be followed my time (mid/ late seventies )..
But ElO bridges a couple a least, possibly best band ever, from Brum anyway
Didnt really think them at the time, it was sex pistols/xray specs/uk subs etc or your somehow still an infant

Ahh Blondie, funny enough I've been listening to her alot lately, absolute sex kitten in her day, there wasn't a straight guy (and probably half the benders as well) in the Uk didn't fancy her.

Remember seeing joy division supporting the buzzcocks didn't think much of them at the time nor realised how important they where to become.

Depends on what you call a band I suppose, but during my time
1) Specials, Selector, Madness, The Jam
2) Afrika Bam, Mantronix
3) Public Enemy, Run DMC ,Beasty Boys, LL Cool J
4) Happy Mondays
5) Prodigy, Faithless
My other musical 'influences' couldn't possibly be referred to as 'bands'
If I could see any of the above again live it would be Public Enemy boyeeeeeeee

I liked the KLF, but they were more of an art project than a group

Joy Division - New Order were fantastic, but would have been even more so had Curtis not passed away
