What a great way to spend a Saturday morning, having someone thrape the knackers off your pride and joy

Big thumbs up to Topjimo for organising the day, and seeing all the usual faces. Big hello to SimonH (just bought a red mica Impreza the same as his so had a little chat)

Didn't take the Impreza down though, took the Legacy Turbo instead , any way heres how she did (and I was quite chuffed with the results)

Engine output: 246bhp
Wheel output: 129bhp
Torque: 192 lbf-ft

Not bad for a car with 151K miles on the clock.

It was a good morning guys, nice to meet you all. Certainly a nice group of men and motors!

I enjoyed it although thought both the Evo and Galant would kick out more, still C'est la vie, they drive fine so I'm alright with it, although I am going to ask some peeps who know more than me what could be causing the reading to be low

Here's my figures anyway...

Evo:
Max bhp - 255 at 6660rpm
Max torque - 237lb/ft at 3790rpm

Galant:
Max bhp - 257 at 5770rpm
Max torque - 239lb/ft at 4450rpm

Interesting torque on the Galant though, hitting 232lb/ft at about 2700rpm, then max torque and falling slightly to 237lb/ft at 5,900rpm, nice range of torque.

Hmmmm, wonder if I could squeeze the Galant engine in to the Evo?

Right, off to find some spanners!

Thanks guys, especially you Jimo, nice to meet you, will look forward to us having a beer at some stage.

See you all again at another meet soon

Great day!!!

BIG thanks to James for organising it, and thanks to the guys @ Powerstation for their advice and assistance.

Must do it again

Here's my dyno BTW - not bad for a STANDARD car (MY95) - only performance option is the rust and dents!!!

Aye,

many thanks to Topjimo for organising today - in particular arranging for me to turn up and drive straight onto the rollers without having to queue - amazing timing

However, i have spent the entire afternoon crawling under the car looking for a hole (or similar) through which 75 horses seem to be escaping - somewhere between the engine and the wheels

Cheers,

mb

Unhappy

Glad you all enjoyed your day at PS. Due to unforseen circumstances I was unable to attend......but then I did pop down last weekend and achieve 320 bhp/335 lbft, in stinking high ambient and charge temps!!!

May the boost be with you!!!

Regards,
Shaun.

What a great morning!

Yup cheers to Rich and James on the organisation, and to everyone else for making it such a fun day.

My figures for an MY99 with K&N57i induction and a de-catted centre section, big-*** backbox:

236.5 BHP @ 6430rpm

145.5 BHP max @ wheels

215 lb/ft @ 4900rpm

Quite chuffed with that! Mind you, a Dawes sounds bloody tempting...

Piccies? I'll wait till tony emails me some of them before fixing them suitable for posting. No wonder I filled my memory card - I had it set to 1280x??? instead of 640x480. Doh!

James - big loss between engine & wheels output!

Exclamation

I'm sure people will correct me if I'm wrong, but there were a couple with 261 bhp, and one slightly down on power with 246 bhp (or something like that).

But we think we know why...

Great pics, Fizz. Hopefully, I'll get mine posted tonight.

It's a real shame no-one managed to get the flame-out on James' Legacy. That was cool. (apart from being very hot! )

So, Fizz - IS the wonga going Powerstations way for Unichip/Zorst/Eibachs/Geometery?? Or are you going to save your pennies for a Skyline R34 GT-R with all the trimmings?!

Morning all,
Nice to meet you all on Saturday. Sorry I couldn't make it to the pub/Listers with you.
My results were:
265 bhp @ 6960 rpm
192.5 bhp at wheel
246 lb/ft @ 3570 rpm
T5NYW - no probs thanks and if the blast down the M5 was anything to go by with the guys heading back to Leek then the car is running fine . Actually, it was the lambda sensor which probably just needs replacing.
James - thanks for organising things.
If anyone wants to buy a 22B let me know - that Skyline was f***in' awesome
Chris.
