Hi all
Should have the motor back monday. I've just ordered her a Prodrive rear spioler to say sorry.

I'm not sure i can make an evening drink that weekend. The misses has got her cousin over from New Zealand, we will be doing stuff with them.

But, how are you all fixed the day after you go out (if its an evening drink).

Fancy coming over to mine, get the barby out and a have a couple of drinks. P1ss the neighbours off by filling the close with loads of scoobies.

let us know.

I could well be up for a couple of drinks.

That's if you accept an outcast from "Scunny"!!!!!!!!.

Steve where are you moving too, still staying local!!

And the spoiler saga still continues

Muddy m8,

I got a nice piece of kit that'll get the spoiler off...

A Dewalt 18v reciprocating saw! It will scratch your paintwork to **** but the 6" blade will cut through the glue(?) no probs.

Other than that, if the cheese wire didn't work, try the central wire from a throttle cable or a brake cable from a bicycle.
Wrap each end round some wooden sticks to save your fingers, then pull from side-to-side very quickly in a sawing motion keeping lots of tension/pressure against the cut.
It works on bonded windscreens!

Good Luck

BOB

ps Kevin, BBQ would be good.

Bob,

Thanks for the pointer. But you needn't have bothered, cause you are a genius anyway, and the cheese wire worked a treat, thanks for the idea.
I wrapped it a round a couple of bits 2x1 and sawed through it, one side took 5 hours the other side took 20 minutes.
Scratched the hell out of the boot as well so car is in Bodyshop at the moment having the bbot repsrayed and having the new spoiler put on.
I wish I never bothered now, it's costing a small fortune.

Steve
may well take you up on your offer, cheers. Although I don't think the missus would mind picking me up. We'll have to wait and see.

Kev.
sounds good mate!!
