Here's some more stats...

If there are 250 cars coming an average of 50 miles (each way) to the meet, that makes:

- 25,000 miles travelled - exactly (within 100m) the circumference of the earth!
- at an average of 20mpg, that's 1250 gallons of petrol, costing around £4500!
- if 200 cars are washed, taking 2 hours each, that's 10 working weeks spent on this!
- 2023 posts, taking on average about 3 minutes each, is 100 hours (or 4 days!) posting time!
- if each car donates on average £7 to charity (multiple occupancy) then we've made around £1750 - a superb effort!

All adding up to being one amazing day...

Anyways, here are the last few details

As you know, there are three car parks availiable to us, or two and a bloody great field

As a suggestion, but NOT vital, if you intend to go on one of Charlie Whiskeys Famous runs, please think about where you put your car! If 3 people have to move thier car so you can get out, the car parks would become a right old two and eight. Park on the ends of lines and in the field if you know that you are going out again If you are there with the family or a drive out isn't your bag, then tuck ya beasties away without obstructing entry and exit points. Ta

Hiya Dudes,

Just had a call from the Inspector Copper guy, thankfully he is "one of the old school"

He has "let it slip" that due to committee and local resident spokesperson pressure and the need to be "seen" to be in control, he has aggreed to post two temporary speed traps along our in route Thing is, he has accidentally suggested where they may be

Basically there will be one set up at each end of the A6097. This road is a long wide quick road with fast roundabouts at each end. In a scoob and an evo (as we all know) you will be easily able to exit the roundabouts onto the A6097 already doing 60mph. TAKE CARE.

Coming from the A46 end onto the A6097, there is a huge layby 2-300 meters up the incline on your right. By the time you see it and if you have kept your foot planted, you WILL be exceeding 100mph as you come into camera sight Please take it steady. At this point you will be 2 minutes from the final RV don't ruin ya day.

Coming from the A612 end onto the A6097, there is a wicked little roundabout with a camber and surface change at the exit all good fun in the wet when no one else is around. This turns into a small dual carriage way, leading over a bridge. Once over the bridge, the road rapidly becomes single carriageway again. The temptation is to boot it along the Dual carriageway up the hill, which is fine except as you come over the brow of the bridge, you will see a long, wide straight A6097 which seduces you to keep it planted. Again, you WILL be doing in excess of 100mph at this point if you are not careful
The camera will be on the right hand side of the road up a driveway which is shielded from view TAKE CARE

Don't forget the Charity Slant of the "BIG ONE" Mini meet organisers, remember to collect donations prior to coming to the final venue, this will prevent me from having to go round hundreds of people asking for money and being told that the partner/ codriver has already contributed

Literally, stick the money in a A3 envelope, mark on it which convoy it's from and then come and find me. I have arranged for all the envelopes to be kept safely in the pub for the duration of the day (Didn't fancy keeping it on me or in me scoob).

I will then post on the BBS that night as to the grand total raised
