that include hotels too? i take it you've been the ring before? i bet it's an experience and a half.. do you find it easier if you got someone in the car with you to tell you what corner you got coming up? bit like rallying in that essence.. and how much is it for laps and how much fuel do you normally use per lap? i'll stop with the questions now

Hello Mark!!!!
I'll have to have a look at my funds a bit nearer the time. I did go back last year and took the wife (she even did a lap herself).
Do you have a month in mind?
Have you still got the EVO?
Angus

Yes ive been before a good few times
Yes you'll love it and not want to come home!!
No its easier to learn yourself i have a old John Felstead DVD that has helped loads!!
Laps go up in price every year but not by much the more you buy the cheaper they get 1,4,8, etc
Fuel on a quick lap could be around 1/4 tank .. its long!!!
I'll do my best to answer anything you may ask mate just get saving lol

i think its the summer they will be going mate.. need a nice dry track after all but then it will be busy, but at least it will be fun to overtake hehe! as for pranging it, i will have to be careful... judging by what ive seen from the track on watching youtube clips theres a nice stretch of track near the start with really slight bends so if i gonna crash anywhere it will be there by going way too fast..

Not wanting to appear a smart ****, but from what you have written so far on this thread, I reckon you'd be better off going over on your own. With a Banzai attitude you'll end up pi55ing a lot of people off. It takes a while to learn even a small series of bends over there, so don't worry about going steady, you'll still find that someone who knows where thay are going but has an old escort will still leave you even if you have 450bhp.
with all due respect though... the whole point of nurburgring to me is the thrill you get from being on such a track and what's the point in going slow? it is a race track after all isn't it?

i think you've got that all wrong bud, of course i am gonna go fast but when i come up to another car i'm not gonna be in their face... i've watched the vids, i see there's a lot of respect between the drivers and i'm not gonna turn up and be an arsehole! it will be a good test for me and i'm looking forward to it..

what hotel is it mate? i'll have a nose online at it.. i watched felstead @ the ring on youtube and to be fair it helps a little.. the track itself doesn't look that difficult but i suppose it's different when you're on there yourself at those speeds. i'm just worried about being caught out on one corner, overshooting it and ending up writing my car off as i will go maximum attack haha.

We go for 4 days with travelling.... and as Angus has said if you think you'll master it and go gung-ho on both journeys there and back and on track you're prob better organising your own trip as ours is and has been a safe and sensible one now for over 4 years
Regards

Cant say hotel name on here but its superb very quiet and they really nice If you've never been and think you know the track... even after watching youtube then think again!!!! This track if not treated with respect will bite you just when you think its easy and yes bikes and cars come from everywhere and you must let cars past if they are quicker than you as you risk a days ban or even your whole journey ban from the track.

When I was there last year laps were €14 each, Think I've still got a coule left on my Ring card. The more you buy the cheaper they are.
I went at the end of May, over the 24hr race weekend - awesome!

no worries mate.. would rather you tell me now than find out for myself when i've pissed off everyone and end up with no car to drive home in hahaha. to be fair though i've done a few track days in supercars and am a quick learner so i will be looking for some quick times but i won't be taking any risks as i love my car too much, saying that might be in a different one by then as it's currently up for sale!

it really is a looker but i want a type-r and i've found a nice one so i'm looking to get rid of my car asap.. didn't think i'd be saying that as i waited so long for the one i have now! so if you know of anyone after a subaru i'd highly recommend mine although i've slapped a biggish price on it, relflecting the condition of it.

15 laps in 3 trips!!
You should be doing that in a morning!
I'd not suggest attacking the track after 15 laps. Unless of course your version of attack differs from mine.

Agreed yes but my pockets aren't as big as some and neither is the spec of my car. So yes your version of attacking does differ from mine. I go more for the trip and do as many laps as money allows. Anyway thanks for the advice

200 miles in one morning? i don't fancy that haha.. i couldn't see myself doing more than 5 in one go.. would want to let the car and it's brakes cool down for a bit before going out again.
