LJP - General Chat
It has been suggested that we use this thread for general discussion.
First topic of conversations is...... 'Membership cost?'
I have spoken with Wolfie about this and the agreement was we should charge a fee. This will cover the cost of the card and a few other bits and bobs. Any money that is left over in the pot will be used for a social event.
Im thinking £5 per member.

Had a first hand lesson in the difference between fuel on Saturday, all I can say is it is will be Shell or BP only from now.
Took the car on the rollers with with what is meant to be "supreme" but found that it is far from that as it was picking up a couple of knocks and put the ecu in to the lower octane rating knocking off .2 bar boost pressure
Can't complain too much as it still ended up with 403.1bhp and 378 ft/lbs ....... cheers for the text support G@ndy my turn on Saturday .... come on you red Mazda thing

I have to say that the service from WRC Technologies was faultless, they took extra time and effort to check that all was well with the car, as they had fitted all of the performance mods to it they said that it is in their interests to make sure the car is still as it should be, they even set up my boost controller back to how it should be (damn shiny buttons staring at me!! )
Well worth a visit if your down that way

Proof that your a LJP member that will apply to the car, discounts on labour at Carnetix and if Wolfie gets his skates on a few more other suppliers. It will also mean we can call ourselves a proper club at events such as Thoresby and the Rally show... oh and JAE
Andy.... You will need a helmet for scooby shootout. Something I dont have :-( So the chances of me taking part are reduced.

Rob:
Nice figures mate, don't think my WRX would even make it on the graph (roll on next spring - Carnetix here I come ).
As for Scooby shootout I'm afraid me and the Gandalf are going to miss it , off to Cyprus on the pi$$, sorry meant to say with work .
Andy:
Like the Karting idea. Ancaster is very good, I took my son there for his birthday a couple of weeks ago and had a great time.
How do folks fancy a Sunday lunch out in the summer. Its £15.50 per head for 3 courses and coffee at a cheeky little place I know just off the A1 near Grantham. Excellent value for what you get.

Thanks fellas.
What a day of emptions, really nervous at first followed by disappointment then sunburn then joy, glorious JOY !!!
Im so glad i went today as some know the dyno graph showed a massive lean spot in the map around 4-5k revs peak torque. The people there said im lucky to still have an engine. And it made 323whp on the 1st run
Some mazda club fellows got busy with the data loggit and thanks to someone not turning up I had a chance to do a second run with a bit more fuel added.
The second run made 379.6whp and 314lbs torque so around 440fwhp at 1.2bar. After looking at the second graph its alot better, maybe running a bit rich top end. If i can lean that out and uprate the plugs and coil packs i should see 400 at the wheels.
But i defo think i need water injection!! looks like its the way forward.
Just for interest highest of the day made 468 !! and yes he was very happy with that

Scoobs going
The WRX is going after the Skeggy run
Trading it in for a 54 plate black STI with PPP . Its the 05 model with the wider rear track, different interior and the trick diff . Shazza was really pi$$ed until she decided to trade the Mini in for a Honda CRV, or LJP SSV (Subaru Support Vehicle) as i like to call it. She's picking it up Friday. Shall we allow it into LJP , a topic for discussion I think.

Congratulations Mr Wolfington but the WRX culling machine had to go for the sake of Lincolnshires twindling animal population
As for the Honda - I suppose it is a jap car but is it performance
Rich,
Have you got the designs for the LJP sticker as I have to try and get some new stickers made up for my car and will try to get some to a match the colour.
The door / roof numbers are also being replaced but I am struggling with what to have as the writing at the top of them Lincolnshire Japanese Performance is too big and LJP too small and Lin Jap Per just doesn't look right.

I was hopeful that I would have my new car for the Skeggy trip, however DVLA have seen to that not happening . How long does it take to put a bloody number plate on retention .
Changed the back box back to the original pea shooters , blimey its quiet. Shazza picked up her new whip Fri night and very nice it is too. All those coming to Skeggy will see it as she's bringing it along.
Laters fellow LJP'ers.
