SCCE charity
Hi seen as though we are starting a club for our passion of Subarus I was thinking that a little fund raising along the way would go a long way (and help me get to heaven one day.ha ha ha).
Nothings planned as of yet but if we all decide which charities mean something to us then maybe in the future it can be beared in mind for events/meets/tunnell runs etc. Even if at the events/meets we chuck a quid into a bucket, or get sponsors of friends/familly. It all helps.
I recently sent £ collected from familly/friends over to an orphanage in India, where 120 children didnt have sandals. £100 soon sorted that out.
The charity could be here in the UK (which I think most would prefer) or it could be sent those in need in others
get your ideas down please

see mark im not just a pretty face.
yes local birmingham charity sounds good. Cancer research also good. At the tunnell run approx 4 people went around with buckets collecting change I didnt see one person not give anything.
It dont take much organisation. would everyone be willing to chuck a £1 or 50p into a bucket at the first meet?
I would

charity...
H , I did not know you had 120 kids back home ...LOL , Now for a more serious note , i lost my mum to cancer 18 yrs ago i would donate to some sort of cancer charity , This is gonna have to be thought about first .wide range of views on this as to witch charity gets the vote. I know the ESC had a collection for the air-ambulance in Essex at the tunnel run.. they even had mugs printed for the event ... , Thats not a bad idea i think. . does brum have a air - ambulance ? ? ... thats my thought ... hows that H..

yes im sure 50p/£1 per monthly meet aint gonna break the bank (we waste more on stupid stuff daily). If this is too much £ then whatever people can afford.....
Im up for the cancer one too, ideally im thinking something for children

Charity wise, personnally I support a Huntington's disease charity as both my mother in law and sister in law have it.
I also happy with the Childrens hospital choice though!!
