Just a thought, but why not just use the same thread for a general chat and to arrange meets rather than keep on creating new ones and having to look for them all the time?

What about this one, the title is suitable and the 'Stoke Scoobies events organiser' created it!

I thought you just had loads of work done on it?
What happened, big end failure?
You might be better buying one off ebay, they seem to go for just over a grand.
Do you just want it repairing or are you going to upgrade it at the same time?

I've got mine running right now, using a dawes type device! The problem I have must be down to something on the control side rather than the turbo side.
It's very tempting to keep on turning the boost up a bit, but without a gauge I'm not risking it, too many engines going bang on here.

I should have some new spoilers for you wagon owners to look at at our next meet, I'm a bit busy next week, but what about the week after, w/c 21/11/05?

Hiya all.
Yep just had a full service about 5 weeks ago cost £1149
ive either fried the pistons on the turbo side or the bottom end has gone.
If anyone's got the number for that place in marketdrayton could you pls post it in her.
As for an engin up grad what would that cost and anyone know a good place
to get one from.

scoobyroo² (Lee) YHM

Got my STi spoilers on now, took ages to get them off the chaps car as one bolt was rusted solid on the top one and the rear wiper would not come off the bottom one!
Not sure if they are 100% the right colour (chassis numbers are different) but it's close enough, for the minute at least.

Next mod - to get the rear gold brembos on. Worked out how to do it this afternoon and going to make a template up out of wood before getting them made in alloy.

Si - the 20th should be ok for me, I'll be having a quiet one in Stafford the night before so should be more awake than usual!!

Who's going to decide where and when!!?? The trip to Loggerheads was good last time, and would be even better in the light. Meet at the Shirehorse again early afternoon? Si?

And on another topic, if anyone wants a pair of replica STi wagon rear spoilers please PM me, looking for £200. They are good quality and the waist spoiler is bolted on rather than glued.

I've just received my whiteline 24mm adjustable ARB today, only been waiting since April for it
I can now stick my front ARB and uprated drop links back on it and see how it goes (it was understeering before with 22mm up front and 20mm on the back - the front one was sent in error so I decided to go more radical at the back!).

The rear brembos are still not on BTW, more figuring out is required!

wrxsti280 - what car do you drive, just wondering if we've seen it around.

Nice motors big scoob & scotty44

Speedydave i did look @ the 2.5 block but the prices i found where over £1000
But yes the idear was in my head of haveing it done , What ive heard of the 2.5 blocks is that the 2.0 head and everything just swaps over(cool yea)
We did try to px my motor on monday for a 02 bugeye but my car was banging its ball's off and any sales man would of knowen it was fooked
So its now loaded on a flatbed and ready to go too API.
So fingers crossed people should be running right soon.
Lee.

They've actually gone UP in price quite some way, as the Yanks decided to hike the price once they found out where they were going and why.

You'll not get one for less than £1200 direc t from the States these days and maybe even a bit more.
