Wales Camping Trip 7 anyone?
OK folks, lots of people have been asking me recently whether we are gonna have another this year? We didn't get many on WCT6 last year and the weather in September was crap We even lost a tent in the wind
Well I can't do it in September this year (as I'm off to Stelvio ) so it looks like mid July or August. Most schools break up on 22nd July so it's gonna be busy after then.
I've still gotta fit in a Muppet Camp to the Lakes, (which looks as though it could be 20th Aug.) and I'm busy 12/13th Aug. so if you fancy coming say what dates you CANT make and I'll see if we can work around it.
Only detail decided at the moment is that we are planning to use a different campsite, so no 'Pheonix Nights' this time

Last year was somewhat soggy to say the least. Actually, come to think about it, I've still not fixed the minor damage to my tent from that night
I can't do...
July 9/10 (flying back from Italy )
July 23/24
August 6/7
The 16/17 July might end up busy yet too (seesh, can we have four day weekends please?).

I can't get 9/10 July, 23/24 July, 30/31 July, 13/14 August (same reason as you I suspect), 27/28 August, 17/18 September, 24/25 September. Oh and the MCT...
As for Flat4 getting his car fixed.... what, all of it at the same time?

Have you got a new tent then Neil?
I tried to do a bit of a recce on Sunday, but forgot to take my wallet so only got as far as Whitchurch
I have something planned which will hopefully be a little different to the past few years, but just as much fun!

So far Austen's proposed date of 30/31st July is the favourite. (Sorry TonyG)
Still awaiting a few peeps, who have said they were interested, to advise dates but hope to firm it up by this weekend.
May be off for a recce on Thursday to see if there is any suitable 'new' stuff we still havn't done yet! I also have to find a new lunch pub somewhere.

30/31st July sounds good.
Only July date we can't make is 16/17th.
Hope to see everyone there, and possibly a bit less rain than last year. Might carry some breeze blocks around with us to help hold the tent down (just in case!).

Just got back from the first recce
Good news: There are some great new roads for you , and a bit of the old favourites
Bad News: Campsite I was gonna use, the original one from WCT1 & 2, no longer takes tents
So still gotta decide where exactly we are stopping, there are a few choices. My two favourites to try are both fields adjacent to pubs!
A few more things to sort on the next recce...
