All the usual garages such as Dave @ APi engines, Roger clarkes etc etc will have top quality motors & presuming you are just looking from a buying point of view then you do have plenty of choice & i wouldn't limit yer distance too much when looking for what is going to be an expensive car to run, ie it's worth going a few miles if it means you get a suitable minter
What kinda car you looking for such as Jap, UK, age, warrenty etc etc? As that will help narrow the search down....

I think I might take a trip to Wolverhampton or Worcester tomorrow. I remember reading Lister subaru in Worcester is a good place. Or I might just phone them.
Looking to buy a Standard Uk Turbo MY99-00 most likely MY00
Blue, FSSH, Air con and low mileage.
Would like to keep it under 10k still need to buy insurance.

Are you looking for finance? You'd be better buying a MY00 (Y reg still in warranty, or one in extended) from a non-subaru dealer. Subaru load 2k onto the price, you'll never get a lowish mileage MY00 for 10k from subaru!
If you DO want one from Subaru - don't forget the entire dealerstock is on www.subaru.co.uk and goto proven used cars.
Andy
Edit: just noticed greg gave that link too hehe

As Soakden has said, check out scoobyclinic. They are based near chesterfield, so its only just over an hour away from brum. They are an independant subaru specalist who really know their stuff. They have had loads of good reports on here and they also sell used scoobies. They are a far better choice for a 10k scooby than a franchised dealer would be IMHO
Good luck with the hunting.

At the end of the day give one of the Cov guys a shout and I am sure one of us can make ourselves available to help you check out a motor.
Best to view and test drive one first and once happy yourself post on here to see if someone will help you to check one over before you buy.
But remember at the end of the day its your choice !
Cheers
