James,
Great news I'm going to stop overnight at a Hotel
I've copied this from Pete croney's post on a SIDC thread
================================================== ================
Places are already selling fast with nearly a quarter of the places going in the first two days. If you want to bring a non Impreza, please call me first. We will allow a small number of non Imprezas, but I want to keep the overall performance similar for safety reasons.
Many people have asked questions here, or in mails to me...
Will my exhaust be OK?
I am mindful to try and avoid mentioning brand names, but can't think of any other way to convey what will be ok and what won't. Basically, Prodrive, Scoobysport and the quieter TSL systems will be ok with standard turbos. Even these systems can be borderline with larger turbos though. Afterburner and Firestorm systems will almost certainly fail, but I suspect that you knew that. There are numerous systems that fall between these and its impossible to say here whether you will be ok. The solution, if you are concerned about this, is to take a quiet silencer and a pair of 14mm ring spanners with you. I will bring some standard silencers with me which will be free to borrow, if required. Note: Some Jap systems are a mated centre and backbox, so you can't swap a standard back box onto these without also fitting a standard centre section.
Bedford have offered to noise test any cars, before the day, for any members that are not sure if their car will pass. They can do this during any lunchtime.
Is there fuel on site?
Super unleaded is available on site but is not cheap. The nearest alternative is the supermarket on the northern edge of Bedford, approx 5-6 miles away.
How many additional drivers can I have?
You can have one additional driver per car.
Can I take passengers?
You may carry one passenger at a time. This passenger will need a spectator pass and will also have to sign an indemnity form. Passengers will also have to wear helmets.
Are helmets needed?
Helmets must be worn when on track. These can be open or full face helmets. If you want to buy your own helmet, most motorcycle shops have a good selection for less than £100. Palmersport do have helmets which can be borrowed for the day, in return for a £50 refundable deposit.
What can stop the day?
The weather. If the track is covered in snow or ice, the day will not happen. Heavy frost may delay the start of the day and the track will not open until the Clerk of the Course is happy that it is safe for drivers.
How many cars are allowed out at once?
We are using the full Gran Turismo circuit. This is 3.6 miles long and the layout has changed slightly since our last visit. We are allowed 50 cars on track at any time. Track time will be (subject to weather and getting organised on time) 9:30 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00. That is up to 5.5 hours of track time for everyone and represents the best value of any track day that I have seen in the past 2 years.
What time should I get there?
If you are on track, please arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 so that we can get you (static) noise tested before driver's briefing starts at 8:30. Coffee will be srved in the Wilson Suite from 8:00 onwards.
Are refreshments available during the day?
The 5 cafe's around the circuit will have free tea, coffee etc. We have the option of lunch in the Wilson suite, but I would like some idea of numbers, to see if this is viable. If we do book lunch, it will cost approx £10-15, depending on what menu we choose.
I really hope that the day is a great success and hope to see you all there.
Pete

DOH!
Would have been a good first outing for the 200sx, but just that bit too early. Will be getting the brakes upgraded before we can work it hard. Might come along to spectate and provide moral support. (Blag passenger rides, etc.)

Squizz,
Bring your Helmet along, your most welcome for a seat(passenger) next to me as you sadly missed out on a spin in mine at the 'Ring'

Due to wifey's working commitments (kids etc), I can't be travelling over to Bransford.
I was under the impression that the meet would be over our way, as I would probably only be there for a passing visit - you know, test the cars, and I'd be off!
If this causes grief, please accept my apologies - like I said, I probably didn't make it known
Just been reading back my post, and it makes me sound a bit of a w@nker (no change there then!! ), but I must stress - I will GLADLY test any car that turns up! It will be my pleasure to help out colleagues and friends!

Tony,
I'm in Hereford tomorrow if you want it done (say right outside PCWorld)
However, what about all you others (Worcester lot etc)
Like I've said in my previous post, I'll gladly meter the cars. Just a case of where & when....
