Red face

Need to find out if my beasty will pass the 98dba drive by noise test.

The car needs a service too, but anyway, I'll ask the missus. Car and 2 drivers = £115 Not bad!

Right, if we knew we'd pass the dba test, thenwe'd be up for it.

Anyone know of someone with a dba meter we can test the car with?? Either that, or try and blag a space if one is left for £120 on the day (Having passed the test).

Cheers,
Squizz.

I'll probably be onboard if its open pit. I shouldn't really cos i've got too much to pay out on over the next month... but who cares

Tony - It's £95 (single driver) if you pre-book, but if there are spaces left you can pay £120 on the day instead.

And extra driver/passenger is £20.

Considering I'd have to buy a new tyre, swap onto my spare rims, get the car serviced first, etc, etc...That's IF it passes the noise test...

I think Karen and I will have to give it a miss.

Received an email from Donington and basically it depends on the amount of bookings taken.
If the number is high then there is less tracktime, but if there are less then more tracktime.
I`m told it will be either 20 or 30 minute sessions per hour throughout the day.

Squizz, shame if you cant make it m8...

Dono have been very strict re: the db level for the last 2 trackdays there. Even when slowing down past the meter - cars have still been black-flagged.

I've got a DB meter @ work (part of a Neutrik A2 Audio test set)

Pretty sure it does both dBa & dBv It's meant to be used to test £500,000 mixing consoles, but I'm sure I can mod it to do Scoobies!!!

Mind you for £5000 it should be bl00dy good!!!

Let me know if anybody needs "probing"

Chuck - thanks for the info!

I'm afraid though, that plain old economics mean we simply can't afford it.

We were hoping to go abroad on holiday in a couple of weeks, but that seems unlikely now as well.

However - Next year will be different. Our fiscal irregularities will be sorted very soon and then we're planning to attend as many track days as we can, either in the TR7V8 or the Impreza.
(At least the TR is a confirmed 98dba)

Have a nice time, peeps. (May yet come along for moral support)
